How to Install and Use Envato’s Figma Plugin 

Envato’s Figma plugin is hosted in the official Figma plugin community. Much like Adobe Exchange for Envato’s Premiere Pro Extension, Canva Apps Marketplace for Canva, and the WordPress plugin directory for the Envato WordPress Extension, ensure you sign in to your paid Envato account for the smoothest experience. 

Installing the Envato Plugin

Starting from within a Figma Board

1. Right click anywhere on your Figma board
2. Hover over “Plugins” in the menu and click “Manage Plugins”
3. Search ‘Envato’ and select the Envato from the search results.

Starting from the Figma Homepage

1. Sign in to Figma.
2. From the homepage, navigate to an existing or new file. 
3. Navigate to the components icon. 
4. Search ‘Envato’ and select the Envato from the search results. 

Starting from Within the Figma Community

1. Once you’re logged into the Figma community, search for ‘Envato.’
2. Select Envato from the search results and click the Open in… button. 
3. Choose the app from which you want to run the plugin (Figma or FigJam).

Adding Envato Photos to Your Projects

1. Navigate to the Photos tab. 
2. Enter a keyword in the search box. 
3. Drag your selected image from your search result into your Figma project. 
4. Once you’ve successfully connected your paid Envato Elements account within Figma, you will see that watermarks are removed from your selected photos once loaded into your project. Note: These photos will also be added to your My Downloads page in your Envato Elements account and associated with a default project named ‘Figma.’ See below for instructions on changing the default project name in Figma. 

Generating Icons for Your Projects

1. Navigate to the IconGen tab
2. Select from over thirty styles of icons. 
3. Enter the keyword in the search box once you have selected your preferred style. 
4. The plugin will generate four icons matching your selected style and keyword. 
5. Clicking on an icon will open variants, including SVG, no background, or PNG variations. 
6. Dragging the icon by clicking ‘Insert icon into Figma’ will bring your icon into your project.
