New Envato experience

You may have noticed that Envato is starting to look and feel… a little different.

It’s not a random reskin. It’s the beginning of a new Envato experience, designed to be simpler, smarter, and built to evolve around the way you actually work.

If you’re already using Envato or considering subscribing, you may be wondering:

  • Why are things changing?
  • What is this new platform actually doing for me?
  • What other changes should I expect?

Let’s walk through what is happening, why we’re doing it, and how it will help you get more out of every brief, every deadline, and every creative idea.

Why are we reimagining Envato?

New Envato experience homepage

At a high level, our goal remains unchanged: we aim to empower creatives to thrive with the best creative tools we can possibly develop, built on deep expertise, and always evolving to meet the future head-on.

What has changed is the creative landscape around you. In the last few years:

  • AI has become an integral part of everyday creative work, rather than a separate novelty.
  • Expectations around speed have skyrocketed.
  • Creatives are juggling more formats, platforms, and deliverables than ever before.

The new experience is our way of:

  • Building an experience that’s tailor-made for the way working creatives operate, now.
  • Integrating AI and stock into a single, coherent workflow.
  • Designing an experience that we can update quickly, responding to the fast-moving nature of today’s creative world.

In other words, this isn’t a surface-level refresh. It is a new foundation that enables us to continue providing you with the best tech, the most innovative AI models, and the most useful features as your world continues to evolve.

What the new Envato experience is all about

New Envato experience filters

We want Envato to help spark your creative flow. To shift with your needs, not the other way around. You will see the new experience appear as a sleeker interface, with a different layout in some places, and some new language.

1. Built for creative subscribers

The new experience is designed around what you do when you’re actively making things, whether that’s:

  • Searching for specific formats and styles.
  • Saving assets you love.
  • Using Generative AI alongside stock assets to create and customise faster than ever.

That means fewer distractions, clearer decisions, and a smoother path from “idea” to “asset in your project.”

2. Generative AI and stock in one creative flow

We are weaving our generative AI tools into the same space as traditional stock assets:

  • Use AI to draft, explore, and iterate on ideas.
  • Use stock to ground those ideas in proven, high-quality visuals, video, audio, and templates.
  • Move between the two without feeling like you are switching apps or mental modes.

The goal is not to replace your skills. It’s to remove friction and busywork so you can spend more time on the choices only you can make.

Our promise to existing Envato users

If you have been with us for a while, this is our commitment to you:

  • We will continue to craft Envato around working creatives. The experience exists so we can build for your needs first.
  • We will keep pushing the tech. From AI models to search infrastructure, we’re investing so you do not have to.
  • We will keep Envato the place you go to make your best work. Whether you’re editing a TikTok, delivering a feature film, building a brand, or launching a game, we want Envato to stay in your “must open” stack.

New features and improvements you will notice

Here are some of the concrete changes that are either already live or rolling out soon.

New Envato experience workspaces

Workspaces: a smarter home for your projects

We have combined the best bits of collections and projects into a new concept: Envato Workspaces.

Workspaces make it easier to:

  • Group assets by brief, client, or campaign.
  • Keep your assets organized and easy to navigate (workspaces hold up to 100 assets — just the right size to stay fast and focused).
  • Work on a project without constantly jumping between different parts of Envato.

If you have older projects with thousands of assets, don’t worry, we’re handling them with care behind the scenes to ensure nothing gets lost. In some cases, our team will manually move them into the new experience for you.

Better search that respects how you work

Envato search is getting a meaningful upgrade, so you can find the right asset faster:

  • Search by author: If you love a particular creator’s work, you can now search their whole portfolio in one place.
  • Category switching without losing your query: Type your search once, then jump between photos, videos, or other categories without having to rewrite it every time.
  • “All categories” search (rolling out): A much-requested feature: quickly see results across asset types, then narrow down when you are ready.

Quick filters for the way you actually search

Most people use the same handful of filters repeatedly. So we have added quick filter buttons for the filters that follow the classic 80/20 rule — the small set you use most often.

You still have access to advanced filters (including options such as video length or sorting by newest). Quick filters are just there to get you to the good stuff faster, especially when you are working under time pressure.

We want Envato to feel less like a static library and more like a flexible subscription that adapts to each project.

What you can expect next (and why things will keep changing)

Since the new Envato experience is designed to evolve quickly, you can expect to see ongoing tweaks and new features. That is intentional.

What those updates will look like:

  • Regular, incremental updates instead of rare, giant releases.
  • Search and filters that become smarter and more personalized over time.
  • New AI capabilities that slot into your existing workflow rather than fighting it.
  • Ongoing performance improvements so pages, previews, and downloads feel snappier.

You may also notice an occasional rough edge, as we ship quickly and then refine our products based on your feedback. When that happens, telling us what feels off genuinely helps us course-correct faster.

Underneath it all, the assets, licensing, and core value you know are not going anywhere. We’re not changing what Envato stands for; we’re changing how quickly and smoothly you can tap into it.

You’ll see more news, more features, and more refinement over the coming weeks and months. For now, the best thing you can do is explore the new experience, start a workspace for your next project, and tell us what helps you move faster and what gets in your way.

We are building this new Envato experience for creatives like you. And we’re only just getting started.
