Envato Workspaces

Projects move fast. Ideas shift. Clients change direction. Envato Workspaces help you gather, organize, refine, and share assets without breaking your flow.

Instead of downloading everything immediately (and cluttering your desktop), you can save options as you browse photos, videos, music, 3D items, templates, graphics, fonts, and more, and keep them all in one organized hub.

Let’s break down how Envato Workspaces work and why they matter.

What are Envato Workspaces?

Workspaces are your central organizing tool inside Envato.

They allow you to:

  • Save assets from anywhere in the library
  • Create nested workspaces to group items by project, theme, or client
  • Review and shortlist ideas later
  • Bulk download and license assets
  • Share curated selections with others

Think of an Envato Workspace as a project board. You’re not committing to downloads straight away; you’re collecting creative possibilities.

Whether you’re building a brand kit, planning a social campaign, designing packaging, or moodboarding for a client, Workspaces keep everything you need right where you need it.

Why use Envato Workspaces?

Creative work isn’t linear. You gather inspiration, test ideas, refine concepts, and collaborate along the way.

Envato Workspaces reflect that reality.

1. Save without interrupting your flow

When you spot something perfect, you don’t have to decide immediately. Click Save, keep browsing, and come back later.

No spreadsheets. No bookmark chaos. No “Where did I see that font?”

2. Organize by project or direction

Working on multiple ideas for one client? Create separate Workspaces for each direction — or create nested workspaces to add structure and hierarchy to organise clients, campaigns, and assets without disrupting anything you’ve already built. You can even save the same item to multiple Workspaces.

This makes exploring creative routes faster and more flexible.

3. Review and refine in one place

Instead of jumping between tabs, everything sits neatly in your Workspace. From there, you can download, license, move, duplicate, or reorganize assets.

4. Share with clients and collaborators

Need feedback before downloading? Share a Workspace link. Clients and teammates can review your selections without needing an Envato account.

It’s a simple way to present curated ideas professionally.

5. Move faster with Command

Command is about to become your shortcut to everything in Workspaces.

Think of it as the fastest way to take action without breaking your flow. Start with Command + A to select all your assets in one go — no clicking around, no hunting through folders. From there, keep your hands on the keyboard and move at speed.

With just a few taps, you can turn bulk actions into muscle memory:

  • Press D to download files instantly when you’re ready to use them offline.
  • Hit L to license assets without interrupting your workflow.
  • Use C to copy items for quick duplication or reuse.
  • Tap M to move assets exactly where they need to go.
  • Press R to rename files and stay organized as you scale.
  • Hit S to share with your team in seconds.

Once you get the hang of it, Command stops feeling like a feature — and starts feeling like your creative reflex.

How to create a Workspace

There are two simple ways to create one:

Option 1: From the sidebar

  • Click Workspaces at the bottom of the left-hand sidebar
  • Select Create a Workspace
  • Name it and start collecting

Option 2: While browsing

  • Click the Save icon on any asset
  • Select + Create a Workspace
  • Name it

Done. You’re ready to build your collection.

Creating a Nested Workspace

You can organize work in a hierarchy that matches how you actually think about it, up to three levels deep. For example:

  • Client workspace
    • Campaign workspace
      • Assets and deliverables

There are a few simple ways to create a nested workspace:

  • When in a specific Workspace, click Create Workspace at the top right corner in the Envato app, or
  • Click the Save icon on any asset, then select + next to a root workspace

How to add items to a Workspace

Saving items takes seconds.

From search results

  • Hover over an item
  • Click the Save icon
  • Choose your Workspace or nested workspace

From an item page

  • Click the Save icon
  • Select your Workspace

You can save the same asset to multiple Workspaces if you’re exploring different creative directions.

Managing your Workspaces

Once you’ve built a Workspace, you can manage it flexibly:

  • Bulk download selected items
  • License multiple assets at once
  • Move items between Workspaces
  • Duplicate items into another Workspace
  • Copy items for variation

Everything stays adaptable. Organize as you go, or tidy up later.

Sharing a Workspace

Workspaces make collaboration easy — even outside your team. You can share your entire Workspace, or specific nested workspaces so collaborators only see what’s relevant to them.

To share:

  1. Open the Workspace
  2. Click the dropdown next to the Workspace name
  3. Select Share
  4. Enable Allow link sharing
  5. Copy the link and send it

Recipients can view your selections without signing in. And, if you’re sharing a nested workspace, collaborators will only see the projects within that workspace — not your broader workspace structure.

It’s perfect for client approvals, team reviews, and creative alignment before licensing.
